Jacqueline Nyren MPT, CMTPT

Jacqueline Nyren has been practicing physical therapy since receiving her Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from Old Dominion University in 1997.

 

Originally from Northern Virginia, she received her Bachelor of Science in Education from George Mason University in 1994 while playing on the GMU Varsity Women’s Tennis Team for four years. She has worked throughout the tri-state area for over 25  years specializing in outpatient treatment of orthopedic conditions including spinal care, sports related injuries, and post-operative rehabilitation with a specialization in myofascial pain and Advanced Dry Needling over the past 10 years.

 

Jacqueline has become certified in Dry Needling by Myopain Seminars, and has taken many advanced needling classes to increase her understanding of myofascial restrictions and their affect on pain and dysfunction.  She has extensive knowledge for evaluation and treatment of biomechanical injuries involving the distance athlete as well as the competitive soccer and tennis athletes. Jackie has been fitting and modifying custom foot orthotics for over 15 years, has been trained in multiple manual techniques to include osteopathic mobilization and manipulation of all joints, the Graston technique, Cupping and the use of direct current stimulators to help improve conductivity during injury and improve the mobility and decrease restriction of scar tissue.

In addition to enjoying her career, Jackie has a busy family life to include spending time with her husband and two children, two pups, and her close family. In her younger years she has completed a full and half Ironman triathlons, and currently stays fit playing recreational soccer, tennis and Bikram Yoga.
